VATAM Request Procedures

VATAM

You can submit a VATAM for service of 6 days or more.
It is recommended to check with your direct commander before submitting a VATAM request.
First-year students – Please make sure you are recognized as students by your unit. You need to send a proof of enrollment to your unit.

Bachelor's Degree – You can submit a VATAM request (Reserve Coordination Committee) from sixty days to thirty days before the enlistment date. The discussion will take place 21 days before the enlistment date.

Master's Degree – Individual cases of master's degree students, such as exam dates during the enlistment period, will be examined. Each case will be reviewed separately by the VATAM department, provided the appropriate certificates are submitted from the educational institution.

Preparatory Program – The preparatory office must stamp the form.

Students serving as paramedics and medical students in their second year or higher – you should submit the forms to the VATAM Doctors' department via fax at 03-7376312, and confirm receipt by calling 03-7379536. The forms are forwarded to the commands, so early submission is required. If the response is delayed – please contact the reserve coordinator with your personal number.

You can appeal the committee’s decision within seven days of receiving the decision, meaning up to 14 days before the enlistment date. The appeal form should be filled out with the reserve coordinator at the Dean of Students office. The appeal discussion, if submitted on time, will take place up to seven days before the enlistment date.
