The vision of the ISEF program is to reduce social gaps and promote equal opportunities in education within Israeli society by increasing access to higher education.
Core values guiding the ISEF Foundation include:
-
Promoting education as a key tool for personal and national development
-
Enhancing social commitment and responsibility
-
Strengthening personal identity and connection to one’s roots within Israel’s multicultural society
-
Reinforcing Israel as a Jewish and democratic state
ISEF views students from Israel’s socio-economic and geographic periphery – who have completed military or national service, who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential, and who have a strong background and interest in social involvement – as key to realizing its vision.
Participation in the ISEF program includes:
-
A social commitment and leadership program consisting of 16 sessions throughout the year (held on Fridays)
-
Educational and community involvement, requiring 4 hours of weekly volunteering
-
Personal and academic mentoring
