“Exploring The Effect Of Ethnicity On Chronic Orofacial Pain: A Comparative Study Of Jewish And Arab Israeli Patients”. Healthcare (Basel), 11, 14. doi:10.3390/healthcare11141984.
תקציר The relationship between ethnicity and chronic pain has been studied worldwide. The population of Israel includes two main ethnic groups, 75% Jews and 21% Arabs. The purpose of this study was to compare orofacial chronic pain characteristics and treatment outcomes between Jewish and Arab Israeli citizens. Two hundred patients admitted to the Orofacial Pain Clinic at Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine between 2017 and 2022 were selected randomly for this historical cohort study. Our cohort included 159 (79.5%) Jews and 41 (20.5%) Arabs. Twenty-six pain-related variables were compared of which only two differed significantly between the two groups, awakening due to pain and mean muscle sensitivity; both indicators were higher in the Arab group ( < 0.05). No differences were found in any of the other variables such as diagnosis, pain severity, onset, and treatment outcome. This minimal difference may be explained by the equal accessibility to medical services for all citizens, and the diversity of our staff that includes Jew as well as Arab service providers. These factors minimize or even eliminate racial bias, language, and cultural barriers, and is reflected in the minor differences in orofacial pain characteristics found between the two main ethnic groups in Israel.

“Exploring The Impact Of Lithium Halide-Based Redox Mediators In Suppressing Co 2 Evolution In Li–O 2 Cells”. Journal Of Materials Chemistry A. doi:10.1039/D3TA03002D.
Publisher's Version תקציר The graphical abstract depicts that the Li–O 2 cell failure is directly proportional to CO 2 evolution. Cells containing optimal LiBr as redox mediator has significantly suppressed the CO 2 evolution upon prolonged Li–O 2 cycling.

“ Exploring The Worldwide Impact Of Covid-19 On Conflict Risk Under Climate Change”. Heliyon, 9, 6, Pp. e17182. .
Publisher's Version תקציר Understand whether and how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the risk of different types of conflict worldwide in the context of climate change.
Methodology
Based on the database of armed conflict, COVID-19, detailed climate, and non-climate data covering the period 2020–2021, we applied Structural Equation Modeling specifically to reorganize the links between climate, COVID-19, and conflict risk. Moreover, we used the Boosted Regression Tree method to simulate conflict risk under the influence of multiple factors.
Findings
The transmission risk of COVID-19 seems to decrease as the temperature rises. Additionally, COVID-19 has a substantial worldwide impact on conflict risk, albeit regional and conflict risk variations exist. Moreover, when testing a one-month lagged effect, we find consistency across regions, indicating a positive influence of COVID-19 on demonstrations (protests and riots) and a negative relationship with non-state and violent conflict risk.
Conclusion
COVID-19 has a complex effect on conflict risk worldwide under climate change.
Implications
Laying the theoretical foundation of how COVID-19 affects conflict risk and providing some inspiration for the implementation of relevant policies.
Exposure to parental violence in childhood is a significant predictor of psychological distress in adulthood. Factors at the individual level may explain the variance in psychological distress among adults exposed to parental violence. The current study examined the effect of exposure to different forms (i.e., physical violence and psychological aggression) and different patterns of parental violence (i.e., witnessing interparental violence, experiencing parental violence) on later psychological distress. The mediating role of sense of coherence (SOC) and the moderating role of gender in this relationship were also examined. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 604 married Arab adults in Israel (age = 20–6
The use of conductive materials to be printed/embedded onto/within a polymeric matrix has gained increasing attention in the fabrication of next-generation soft electronics. In this review, we provide a comprehensive overview of the materials and approaches for the fabrication of 2D and 3D conductive structures while focusing on the importance of the compatibility between the particles' shape, the polymeric matrix type, and the deposition method, along with the target application. The review presents a summary of the main conductive materials and the type of polymeric materials which were utilized for fabricating soft electronic devices that are bendable/twistable and stretchable. It is divided into two sections: Introduction section, which presents briefly conductive materials, polymeric matrix, and fabrication methods, and Fabrication section, presenting the main 6 approaches of fabrication. Each of the fabrication subsections presents the main recent reports in a detailed table. The review is concluded with an Outlook section, describing the current challenges in this field. Despite the progress in the fabrication of 2D bendable/twistable electronic devices toward industrial integration, there is still a need for tailoring and improving the durability and robustness of 3D stretchable electronic devices.

In this work we propose a novel annotation scheme which factors hate speech into five separate discursive categories. To evaluate our scheme, we construct a corpus of over 2.9M Twitter posts containing hateful expressions directed at Jews, and annotate a sample dataset of 1,050 tweets. We present a statistical analysis of the annotated dataset as well as discuss annotation examples, and conclude by discussing promising directions for future work.

Passported benefits are additional benefits provided to individual or households based on a previous eligibility to a "primary"social security benefit. Although passported benefits should be easier to claim, in reality the claiming process is often cumbersome and results in low take-up. Drawing on an Israeli case study, we offer a conceptual framework to categorize and analyse the varieties of passported benefits along five dimensions: the eligibility role of primary cash benefits; automation level; legal status; type of service delivery; and the degree of decentralization. The administrative burden literature is employed to make sense of the paradox of passported benefits becoming a site for administrative burden. Using our conceptual framework and drawing on interviews with officials and claimants, we demonstrate why some passported benefits are more user-friendly while others tend to become administratively burdensome.

“First Female Patient With A Rare Cic-Foxo4-Translocated Sarcoma: A Case Report”. Case Rep. Oncol., 16, Pp. 954–962.
Small round cell sarcoma is a group of undifferentiated malignancies arising in the bone and soft tissue, notable for Ewing sarcoma. Recently, a new World Health Organization classification has been introduced, including an additional subset of these sarcomas, named CIC-rearranged sarcoma. Within this group, CIC-FOXO4 translocation is an exceedingly rare fusion that has been reported only 4 times in the literature. Herein, we report in-depth the pathological, clinical, and molecular features of a CIC-FOXO4 translocation-driven tumor in a 46-year-old woman.

“Fluorescent Protein Lifetimes Report Densities And Phases Of Nuclear Condensates During Embryonic Stem-Cell Differentiation”. Nature Communications, 14, Pp. 4885. .
Publisher's Version תקציר Fluorescent proteins (FP) are frequently used for studying proteins inside cells. In advanced fluorescence microscopy, FPs can report on additional intracellular variables. One variable is the local density near FPs, which can be useful in studying densities within cellular bio-condensates. Here, we show that a reduction in fluorescence lifetimes of common monomeric FPs reports increased levels of local densities. We demonstrate the use of this fluorescence-based variable to report the distribution of local densities within heterochromatin protein 1α (HP1α) in mouse embryonic stem cells (ESCs), before and after early differentiation. We find that local densities within HP1α condensates in pluripotent ESCs are heterogeneous and cannot be explained by a single liquid phase. Early differentiation, however, induces a change towards a more homogeneous distribution of local densities, which can be explained as a liquid-like phase. In conclusion, we provide a fluorescence-based method to report increased local densities and apply it to distinguish between homogeneous and heterogeneous local densities within bio-condensates.
