Past Fellows

Gustavo Guzmán is a historian specializing in Jewish history and antisemitism in Latin America. He has a Ph.D. in History from Tel Aviv University (2021), where he wrote a dissertation on Chilean right-wing attitudes toward Jews, under the supervision of Prof. Raanan Rein.

Batsheva Neuer is a Past Knapp Doctoral Research Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism (SICSA) and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Jakob Hoffmann was an Intern at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism (SICSA). He studied Political Science and Sociology at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University Munich and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and holds a bachelor's degree from the former institution.

Julia Pohlmann holds an M.A in Jewish Studies from the University of Potsdam (Germany).

Elad Lapidot is a professor for Hebraic Studies at the University of Lille, France.

Yitzhak Mor is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Comparative Religion at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Jonathan Grossman is a political scientist and historian specializing in diaspora politics, Israeli-Latin American relations, and qualitative methodology. Jonathan has a PhD in Romance and Latin American Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Dr. Matthias J.

Dr. Yuval Tal was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism (2020). He received his PhD in History from Johns Hopkins University in 2020.

Michael Casper received his Ph.D. in History from UCLA, where he wrote his dissertation on Jewish political culture in interwar Lithuania. At SICSA he works on a project on the history of Lithuanian ultranationalism and the Holocaust in the Lithuanian provinces.

Dr. Selim Rauer is a Felix Posen post-doctoral fellow and junior faculty at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.Rauer received his Ph.D.

Victor Isaac Taranto is a Posen Fellow at The Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism.

Dr. Adi Armon's was a Research Fellow at Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism. Armon received his Ph.D.

Anna is currently Minerva - Post Doc Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem affiliated to the SICSA. She is working on a project on the Vietnam War Crimes Tribunals initiated by Bertrand Russell in 1966.

Qingwen Zhang graduated from Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in International Politics (2011) and a master’s degree in International Business Law from National University of Singapore (2016).

Dr. Amit Varshizky is a Research fellow at Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and its representative at the Stern Cooperation Project.  Varshizky received his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University.

Rona Dinur is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Philosophy of the Hebrew University, focusing on moral and political philosophy. Her Ph.D. project is supervised by Prof. David Enoch and Prof. Moshe Halbertal. She started her Ph.D.

Iván Zoltán Dénes (1946) is a historian of ideas, professor, member of the Academia Europaea (London), initiator of interdisciplinary research into historical traumas, trauma management and regimes of memory at the Academia Europaea.

Irit Chen is 2018 Felix Posen Doctoral Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a Ph.D. student at the Department for Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University.

Tobias Rochlitz is a Bachelor Student of Sociology, Politics & Economics and he is doing a research focussed internship at the Vidal Sassoon Center from March to June 2018.

Dr. Guy Bracha is 2017 Felix Posen Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and teaching associate at Bar Ilan University. He received his Ph.D. from Bar Ilan University.

Bruno Chaouat received his PhD in French literature from Emory University. Since 2002, he has been teaching in the Department of French and Italian, as well as in the Center for Jewish Studies, at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Sara Airoldi earned a Phd in History at the State University of Milan in 2016. Her dissertation, entitled Nazione in patria - Gli ebrei italiani e la sfida dell’identità 1918-1938 (Nation within motherland.

Dr. Anat Vaturi is 2017 Felix Posen Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Vidal Sasson International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a research assistant in economic history at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzlia.

Annemarie Ammer is a Master student of the programme Social Work and Human Rights at the University of Gothenburg (2016-2018), Sweden.

Ethan B. Katz is Associate Professor of History at the University of Cincinnati and a specialist in modern France and its empire and modern Jewish history. Katz is the author of The Burdens of Brotherhood: Jews and Muslims from North Africa to France (Harvard University Press, 2015).

December 2006-Today: I have been working at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism. In the past, my position was the Secretary and Translator from English to Hebrew and from Hebrew to English.

Dr. Svetlana Natkovich is 2016 Felix Posen Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism.

My research project addresses the early modern history of economic anti-Semitism, by examining the place of Jews and their image in the set of social concerns accompanying the processes of commercialization and capitalization of Western society.
