Omer Solodoch is a Lecturer (assistant professor) in the department of international relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow at The Christopher H. Browne Center for International Politics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Omer studies international and comparative political economy. One strand of his work deals with the sources of public opposition to globalization, particularly in the areas of immigration and international trade. Another examines the electoral effects of trade policy, trade wars, economic shocks and financial crises. 

His research has been published or is forthcoming in the American Journal of Political Science, International Organization, the Journal of Politics, the British Journal of Political Science, and the Journal of Conflict Resolution, among other journals.
