Our focus:
The HUJI Living Lab is a synergetic lab- combining our three pillars of Research, Teaching and Impact.
towards this goal, we are gradually transforming the (4) Hebrew University campuses into smart campuses, while focusing on the Mount Scopus campus as a "living lab" as a microcosm of a city
The Living Lab is a collaboration between our researchers, represented by our center, the 'operators', represented by the maintenance and infrastructure department of the University and the 'users' represented by the Student Union.
the three actors/partners together are focused on a synergy between sustainable optimization of services, knowledge sharing and research towards a better understanding of the future of the built environment, and a pursuit for inclusive wellbeing, in study, work and leisure, for all users.
The impact of the HUJI Living Lab, is
- An optimization of services, enabling for better sustainability while reducing cost of delivery,
- Creating and sharing data that may inform all users and enable better independent decisions, while encouraging equality and participation, and,
- Inspiring the creation of new technologies and solutions, by transforming the campus into a development and experiment space for innovative and sustainable technologies & solutions, Inviting students, researchers and the local Jerusalem and nationwide Israeli technology ecosystem to collaborate towards answering to urban and sustainability challenges.
