About Us

The Global Lab, is a Field Lab designed to be a global asset of applied innovation, working with local, regional and global organizations, to improve urban wellbeing &  sustainability, based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, through innovative data-based research, short & long-term interventions & assistance in creation or alteration of urban policies.

The Global Lab is focused (but not exclusively) on impacting global developing towns and regions, and is building on Prof. Rich's prior experience in cities around the world.

the main activities of the lab are focused on:

URBAN TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING
Teaching smart cities, urban innovation and sustainable services- long & short courses & seminars in Israel and global locations. 

NETWORKING &  KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Publications, events and hybrid innovation-based urban collaborations between cities, planners, innovators and organizations. 

POLICY-FOCUSED LOCALIZED RESEARCH & INNOVATION
Creation & validation of new models for localized data-based planning, management & technology, through interventions, on-site university courses & applied research.

PROMOTING URBAN TECH & ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES
accelerating new ideas & solutions for urban challenges, promotion of Innovation hubs & urbantech ecosystem, identification of missing policies and validation of tech impact.
