COVID-19 ARRIVAL PROCEDURES – Updated 21 June 2022

Hebrew University strictly complies with the COVID-19 rules and regulations of Israel’s Ministry of Health and Immigration Authority. As is the case across the globe, the COVID-19 situation in Israel can be dynamic and difficult to predict. While we do our best to keep you updated on this website, we highly encourage you to consult the website of the Israeli Ministry of Health for the most current information, and to continue monitoring this page.

Arrival to Israel requires compliance with the current Covid-19 regulations of the Ministry of Health and Immigration Authority. As such, prior to travel, students are requested to review entry regulations, including the online entry statement.

A. ENTRY INTO ISRAEL
To view the current regulations for international travel to and from Israel, visit the Ministry of Health website.

B. ENTRY STATEMENT
All travelers arriving to Israel are required to complete the Israel Entry Form up to 10 days prior to their flight to Israel.

C. VISAS
In accordance with the regulations, all students are required to apply for an A2 Student Visa via the Israeli Embassy/Consulate closest to their place of residence.

D. HEALTH INSURANCE
Health insurance with coverage for the treatment of COVID-19 is required in order to enter Israel.
It is mandatory for all students to purchase health insurance with Covid-19 coverage. Information on health insurance procedures can be found here.

E. SELF-QUARANTINE
Currently, there is no legal requirement to isolate after entering Israel. If a non-Israeli citizen contracts COVID while in Israel, please follow the regulations for non-Israelis regarding isolation.

Developing Covid-19 Symptoms
The University has designated Covid-19 contact persons in the case of queries and emergencies. Should students develop Covid-19 symptoms or receive a positive PCR result, please contact the Office of Student Life Emergency Line: +972 (0)54 8820217.

F. GUIDANCE UPON ARRIVAL IN ISRAEL
At this time, travelers are not required by law to wear a facemask.
