ImageStream

The Amnis ImageStream®X Mark II is a multispectral imaging flow cytometer designed for the acquisition of up to 12 channels of cellular imagery in 2 different cameras. It is numerically quantifies and locate the distribution of signals within tens of thousands of cells per sample.

The system is equipped with 20x, 40x and 60x objectives and has the 405nm, 488nm, 561nm and 642nm excitation lasers. The collected data combines the per cell information content provided by standard microscopy with the statistical significance afforded by large sample sizes common to standard flow cytometry.  Imaging in flow can be used to answer specific research questions such as Apoptosis, Cell Cycle, Co-localization, Internalization, Nuclear Localization, Shape change, Spot counting and more.

Acquisition is done with INSPIRE® Software. Intuitive user interface provides easy to use instrument controls, real time plotting and graphical gating, and images of every cell.

Data analysis is done with IDEAS® Software (in the ImageStream Workstation) – IDEAS® offers powerful, familiar tools for creating histograms and scatter plots. Each dot in a scatter plot links directly to a cell’s images. Numerical scoring of parameters such as size, shape, texture, colocalization and intensity allow quantification of visual data. Template and batch processing for automated data analysis for high throughput experiments.
