Dr. Yonatan N. Gez is a development anthropologist at the Hebrew University, where he currently serves as a post-doctoral fellow at the Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences while teaching at the Glocal Community Development Studies MA program. Yonatan did his previous degrees at Tel Aviv University and at the University of Cambridge, and received his doctorate in Anthropology and Sociology of Development from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, where he still serves as a research associate. His academic interests are diverse, and include: relations between religion and development, religious mobility, African Pentecostalism, Israeli development work in Africa, and education.
