Bloomfield Library for the Humanities and Social Sciences

Remote Access
Remote access to the Hebrew University libraries’ electronic resources, including databases, electronic journals (ejournals), and electronic books (ebooks) is available to Hebrew University students and faculty. Remote access services enables access to all online resources included in university agreements. 

OneHUJI - Direct access to ejournals and databases without having to connect to Rumba.

OpenAthens - Access to databases and full text articles / Division of Computing, Communications and Information

Access to the service via the libraries' website or catalog with HUJI login identification. 

Connect via a Remote Access Account (necessary for VPN services, Eduroam network and databases not accessible via OneHUJI)

Wireless Access to the Internet
The four campuses have several wireless networks:
HUJI guest – an open network available for guests that does not allow access to the university’s online resources.
Eduroam – an international project that allows access to electronic material using a username and password provided by the Hebrew University.
HUJI-Dorm – a network that exists in some of the Hebrew University dormitories, requiring a username and password.

Remote Access to Public Computers - MyPlace

Hebrew University students can connect remotely to programs installed in the computer center and to their personal drive.

Network Services
Remote access to the electronic resources provided by the libraries (including databases, ejournals and e-books) is available to the University community.

 

 

OneHUJI - Access service to the library resources
Access electronic resources directly via the Library Website or the Library Catalog.
You will be prompted to login to HUJI  - no need to run VPN!

 

Connecting via Wireless (Wi-Fi)

Library access

Use your personal HUJI username and password in order to log-in the library's public computers. Make sure to type cc\username.

WiFi Networks in the Medical Library

Two wireless networks are available in the library:

HUJI-GUEST - free for all users

EDUROAM - requires RA academic account (to open RA account)

To log-in: Username: username@huji.ac.il (username of your RA account without the %ra)

Password: password for your RA account

Remote access through Rumba (former samba)

Roomba is no longer required for most library services. If needed, use the following link to open a Rumba account.

 

Remote Access from Hadassah Hospital

Registration for remote access to library databases from a Hadassah computer must be done directly with the Hadassah Technical Support.

Law Library

OneHUJI - Access service to the library resources

Education and Social Work Library

There are 40 computer workstations throughout the Library, located in all 3 floors.

Also, there are many electrical outlets near the work stations for use in laptop computers.

The library also has a laptop that may be borrowed for 3 hours intervals, and 7 sets of headphones which also may be borrowed for 3 hour at a time.

Mobile Printing

Print jobs may be sent both within and from outside the campus via the internet. This fee-based service requires sending an email to:

Library of Agriculture, Food and Environment

Remote Access
To access the University databases, electronic journals and electronic books from home, you need a username and password.
Registration for Hebrew University's remote services is done via the University's RAP site, which is maintained by the Computer Authority. 
You can register, change your password, recover a lost password, or update user details.
After registration you can connect to Hebrew University servers via Samba VPN service 
Follow the instructions to install the "anyconnect" file on your computer. The proper connection is VPN Client.

Accessing Personal Files
The material saved in personal folder, can be accessed from home. Connect to MyPlace enter the username and password used in campus.

Remote Access to Faculty Computers
You can connect to campus computers from home and work as if you are here. This way you can use software without installing on your home computer.

You can connect as a guest, or as a Hebrew University student.
For the second option, the username and password for remote access (Samba) are required
