Edith Blit-Cohen is a professor at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is a community social worker, a lecturer and a researcher. Edith has won honors for excellence teaching for several years, and among other awards, she won the Distinguished Paper Award at ISEP: International Symposium on Education and Psychology in Osaka: Japan. She has practical experience in community work, community development and human rights. She serves as a consultant and mentor to social workers and managers in welfare services, organizations for social change and NGO's. In addition, she conducts lectures and workshops in areas related to community social work, management, organizational change and community approach. Her researches focus on communities, social change, social exclusion and community work.
