Gabriel Horenczyk is the J. Robert Fisher Professor and Chair of the department of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His major areas of teaching and research are: psychological aspects of cultural and ethnic identity; identity and adaptation of immigrants; immigrants in schools; the school acculturative context; identity transitions. Professor Horenczyk headed the Israeli team of the ICSEY study (International Comparative Study of Ethnocultural Youth), and is currently participating in a comparative study on overt and hidden dropout among immigrant and minority children.
