The program provides students with a deep understanding of the physiological and biological principles and processes that determine crop productivity in the field. Based on their studies, our graduates are encouraged to develop independent critical thinking that enables them to analyze the challenges of the production environments and to search for solutions based on professional literature and experimentation. Research topics include basic biological, biochemical, ecological, genetic and molecular research pertaining to field crops and vegetables, applied research of agricultural management, cultivation techniques and plant nurtrion, and an integration of fundamental research with applied research.
Study tracks: Non-Thesis (40 HUJI credits) / Thesis (24 HUJI credits)
Duration of studies: 2 years in both tracks
Language of instruction: English (as long as there is an English-speaking student enrolled in the course)
